My kid is addicted to gaming, San Clemente, CA

We have 5 teenagers...yes 5!

This is my story in a nutshell. My husband and I have 5 teenagers and a twenty year old. We are a blended family and have been blended for 10 years. Our kids have endured the death of one parent (my first husband) , a horrific divorce (my new husband and his ex) and several other traumatic events (Parental Alienation, Emotional Abuse, Cult upbringing).

I first met Gina several years ago through a conference we were both attending and Gina graciously gave me her business card (I’m sure after hearing about our blended family of 8)! I kept it in my folder just in case I ended up being a parent who actually needed to use it. At the time there didn’t seem to be a need for it but I am so thankful I kept it. (I was probably in denial)

We have had several struggles with our children that have affected not only our family as a whole but my marriage and most importantly ME! We’ve dealt with drug use and abuse, mental health issues, behavioral problems, brainwashing and PAS.

BILY has quite literally changed my life, my marriage and the lives of our kids. It all had to start with the changes I needed to make to be healthier and more effective.

The support that is offered by the leaders and the other parents in crucial. I understand the first step is the desire to change. Once I took that step to begin change the leaders at BILY have been with me every step of the way. They entertain personal phone calls. They have resources beyond comprehension. They are a wealth of knowledge and I am grateful everyday for the journey I decided to take with everyone at BILY.

I have made life long friendships with the parents and have support and accountability from our group. I honestly can’t say enough good things.

I kept coming back cause it works when you work it and no motto could be more true. Couple that with The Serenity Prayer and success will surely follow! Instead of always being at a crisis level of 3+ I am most often at a 1 and some of the same struggles ensue... but I’m different now!
